I was just wondering if it would be worth having the G2 sim. I saw one with expantion packs 1,2,3, & 4 for $100 shipped. I want primarly for honing my 3D plane skills and to learn heli & 3D heli.
What does FMS stand for?
Thanks, Bill

FMS = Flying Model Simulator ( http://n.ethz.ch/student/mmoeller/fms/index_e.html ) - Google will give you more :)
IMO $100 for G2, even with the add-ons seems a tad expensive, and you could do better such as Clearview for $40, or for a few more $$$ have a look at Phoenix ( I'll let you google or search the forum for the links ;) )
FMS is too basic to be considered as a real filght sim

I am very happy with my $20 Esky USB Tx and the $40 Clearview Sim http://www.rcflightsim.com and the tech guy there is active on this forum ... that's what I would do ...

I've had all the Real Flight sims, and the G2 is really, really out of date, and pretty much useless as a 3d tool. G4 is as good as G2 is bad.
