I am looking for a shock absorber used on IMU and other inertial systems. This shock absorber is used for resisting high requency shock on UVA's motor.
Can anybody recommend one for me? Thanks a lot!

Here is what I have been using. I build mine so I can select the density of my grommets. Some units need to be a bit more rigid then others....
Hope this helps,
Chris

High frequency vibration is a buster. This foam isolates most of it, but not all. MEMS suck overall in high frequency vibration. Another idea is using 2 of each MEMS component, oriented in opposite directions, to try to cancel out vibration skewing.

Thank you very much!
I am using a MEMS IMU and AHRS on a UVA. The high frequency vibration bothers me a lot. I tried some methods but they does not work. So I prefer some mature products(shock absorbers) that designed for inertial units only. Is there any company produce this kind of shock absorbers?

@ Jack
did u try two sensors in reverse orientation method? And cud u eliminate the vibrations.. ?

The high frequencies were eliminated with a tiny modification to the padding. The IMU & airframe needed at least 1/2" of padding in all directions yet enough contact to reduce low frequency vibrations. There are no dual sensors. If you're worried about commercial solutions, in China all products are home made.
