Connection to reciever??

When I short 1 & 3 the camera works fine. The problem I have is when I plug the end of the extension into the reciever, the camera takes pictures in the endless mode. I have tried the gear port as well as the Aux 1 and 2 ports. It doesn't seem to matter what function the camera is set to the same thing happens. Again, when I cross 1 & 3 without using the reciever it works fine. Anyone? Thanks...

The FCO2 cannot be connected directly to the receiver. You have to put something like a electronic trigger device in the circuit.
