pre-flight, trouble using my realflight stuff.

i have a hobbico tx-401 and it came with realflight, i find the scenery realy crappy and so i doiwnloadedd pre-fligh. it looks much beter and has beter aircraft even with the demo. only thing is that i cant seem to get my controller to work with it.
any ideas, or possibly a different simulator for free or cheap, but good scenery.
