First, because it has so much compression, that leads me to think the
engine is flooded.
Also the further the throtle blade is open(High Idle or too much
throttle), the least likely the engine will start (Unless it's flooded,
then pinch off the fuel line and hold the throttle wide open)
With a Brand new spark plug installed, Try reducing your idle setting
to get the lowest possible idle, then set your low screw to 1 3/4. With
a choke the engine should pop within 1-3 pulls, after it does, remove
the choke and try again.
Once it's running adjust the idle screw(not the low screw) to an
appropriate idle, then readjust the hi screw for clean running on top
end.
Should be easy to start after that, unless there is a vacuum leak on
the base gasket or carb gaskets.
good luck

well after weeks of wanting to use this motor25.4cc sikk motor only as a
door...stop
ive solved the problem of it not starting and it being
nearly imposable to start .
the only thing i never moved or checked was the coil air gap. well
there was nearly no gap so i went about with a feeler gag and re set it
to some settings i had for the zenoah motor . . and the dame thing
starts . on the second pull . once you have the magnets just passed the
coil and pull and it starts up.
but the only thing i can compane about is the pull start mecanizum on
these motors is crap .the spring just lets go after a cupple of
starts.
well befor the motor was nearly imposable to pull over so im gessing
that the magnets were just forcing a never ending battle and joining
together .making it very hard to pull over . and not letting the motor
rotate and fire its self up .
well thanks to every one that posted on here . and finaly i might be
able to get this motor out and use it with out busting a nucle or
cholder trying to start it up.

gday gavin,
try a 105 deg header steel exhaust, lighten the piston match the
piston to the ports,i have reshaped the piston port area,813 carb,0.005
copper gasket, zero drag seals, should see you get around 18500 to 19000
depending on the set up and prop ,the prop and setup are
everything, crap prop and set up will make a mint motor run crap, lighten
the piston to start with then 105 deg exhaust and you will see very good
rpm.
the 26cc sikk i have is now pulling around 19000rpm with the 6719 3
blade
modfied prop shop prop on a hydro,i have a 27cc sikk i am going to mod
the same way hope to get the rpm up around 18 + see what happens
i have an insane gen 3 hydro with a modified rear exhaust j&g from cc
race engines to build one serious piece of equipement my time is on
that at the moment, try those mods small changes at a time try jim boat
dock forum
and daves discount motors.com plenty of up grades for the sikk and
parts
cheers leon torquespeedracing
