Hi All, been building my UAV, and got it all together, and was told to upgrade to version 3.15 of the software. I did, and it never flew again.
So I changed back to version 3.14, and it flies again.
Could someone help me understand how these controls actually work?

Which file you loaded into the PIC? You have the file name.

The one I have loaded now is: Profi-Ufo-V314-THC-CAM0-ADX300-PPM.hex
I tried loading the Non THC one, and control was worse then with THC.
The one I had loaded was the same name but Version 3.15beta. That one wouldn't fly for anything, no matter what settings I had in it.
The one above tried to fly, but it just will not lift off Level. I have adjusted settings, and adjusted the radio trim, and it just will not fly. Even after going back to the older set, it still tries to roll left and spin out of control.
I have tested with TestSoftware, and can't seem to find any problems there.
Maybe I just don't know what to look for. Could a Gyro cause such problems?
I have everything but GPS installed. I use the ADX300 x3.

OK, I have gone back and checked all the test points, and here is what I found.
TP1= 3.67v, TP2=4.88v, TP4=2.08v, Moving=1.88 to 2.08. It seems that the Roll Gyro doesn't move when it is moved from Zero in one direction. It seems that the gyro may be bad. I told Ken it was bad when I received it, but he said it was OK.
When I move the UAVP in other directions, I have a higher center point then the Roll gyro, also those gyros respond on both sides of center where the Roll gyro seems sluggish.

Has ANYONE else had a gyro go bad? What happens? How does the uavp act with a bad gyro?

Man this forum has so much info, but no one wants to talk for some reason.
I guess there just isn't very many people who know much about the uavp, even with all the guys I see talking about it.
Anyway, I believe I found the problem. It seems that my gyro had an intermittent problem. I think it either has a bad solder joint under the gyro, or something inside the chip is broken.
After connecting a scope to it, and testing the gyro in my hand, it didn't have a linear movement of the RATE, It wanted to jump back and forth between the two ends of the axis rather then move with linearity from center of axis, then as I was moving it around in my hand, it started to work normally. I talked the guy that sold them into replacing it for me. Thankfully I had a spare to install.
I guess this UAV thing is just too New, and not many people know much about it. Hey Guys, I'll come to your rescue. Pretty soon I will know this thing by heart.
I wonder how many other uav people have the FC600 CF frame. Man this thing is strong. Now all I gotta do is figure out how to make some landing gear for it. It looks pretty cool to, with those swept back side rotors, kinda looks like something out of Star Trek.
