The only thing i would change is remove the holes in the side and make the inlet bigger. Then work on the decals a bit more

well, yeah....they keep kicking out these little airframes with all the garbage electronics, wimpy 64mm/cheap motor, little 1500 3S pack, and throw in a $2 transmitter that has a range of about 300 feet and charge us their 500% margin.
...but they look nice!

Well it looks good.
A few minor things, put the cheater hole on the bottom of the fuselage, coming up through the the wing, it'll look a lot better. Might have to worry about sucking in rocks then but shutting the fan down before landing will help with that.
I like battery access through a removable canopy hatch, and the hatch should be held on with a tab in the front and a latch in the back, just like the Enroute/Hobby People F-16.
Also, make the battery bay long so that if a heavier pack is used it can be slid backwards or forwards as needed. The little plastic battery trays don't allow any room for adjustment. Plus, it's one more mold you need to make.
A 64mm fan with a 28mm motor holder would be nice as well. The little 20mm motors can't be upgraded to more than 275 watts, they wont take the heat.
Minor stuff (major really) but hey I like the scale size inlet.
Also the exhaust looks a bit big but maybe that's the foam thickness.

It does look pretty good. Curious to see what the pricing will be like though; for those of us who already have all the internals and just want an airframe, will this be any cheaper than an Alfa Sabre airframe ?

Finally,a scale nose.Cheater holes are fine, won't see them while it"s flying.

Originally the F-86A is equipped with the 18L inner rotor brushless motor. But obviously the inner rotor motor become very hot for this kind of products, and next step we will consider to change it with outer rotor 28 motor, but need time because right now we are working to design and testing, to find the best solution.
Anyway no worry about this issue, the fan set was designed to work with both inner & outer rotor motor. ^_^

Just killed my ALFA A4...second one :(
All the guts work (HiMax2025-5300 CC25 HS55 ALFA 3-blade 3S2200) wonder how it would go in this airframe. Gotta look, but, can we get just the airframe?
Subscribed. Figure if I was going to subscribe to it and read about it, might as well pipe in.

The Don, you'll be better off buying it as RTF say if they sell the RTF version for $200 the ARF will be $185 u can resell the radio gear
BTW: i just had to cancel my order i got told they have no boxes to ship my order in :( arggggg i guess i will buy planes from someone else and come back to this company when there ready

I too vote for the airframe and fan only version, and video!
Doubletap
May 27, 2008, 11:41 AM
Airframe and fan should be no more than $100. Art Tech has a fairly large F-18 that is $100 ARF (before shipping). Exercise a little self control and don't buy these overpriced packages until they bring the prices down to something more reasonable.

Please, Please, Please! do not put your company name on the plane - we don't care one iota aobut "INSKY" brand planes- that only makes the product feel very cheap and toy-like.
Thanks - still waiting to the video link.

gazza2003au:
Maybe the file too large (about 16MB), so it is very slow to upload to youtube.com
Now please try this link:

Oh, you got it already!
In the video the plane was equipped with KV3900 inner-rotor motor and 11.1V/1300mAh 15C Li-poly.
With KV4300 motor it will be much more faster, but the problem is the battery, because we ever met two times the battery pregnant after full throttle flight. So, with 4300KV motor with 20C Li-poly battery that will be great. Now we are waiting for the new 20C battery sample for testing the KV4300 motor.

i have just finished talking to jenny... all is good im just wondering what size lipoly comes with the plane and when will u have the upgraded battery in?
huayuhobby
Jun 02, 2008, 04:11 AM
The battery capacity 1300mAh.
For 20C Li-poly, no problem can offer you that this time.
When payment arrive, the battery will be almost ready for your order.

Oh sorry, I just came back from the 5th Shanghai model exposition.
Actually before the Shanghai model show we ever tried to fly the F-86A with KV4300 inner-rotor motor & 3 cells 1300mAh /20C Li-po, and it performed greatly.
Now we concentrate on the outer-rotor motor for its best performance.
This morning we got finished metal parts for the motor sample test, but unfortunately these metal parts were made incorrectly. So we have to wait longer time for rework on these.
Anyway I think outer-rotor motor can bring better performance than inner-rotor motor, because inner-rotor motor very easy to become hot after even very short time work. Will update info here about our new motor for the F-86A once any news.
