Hi All,
I found 3 Airtronics Sailplane kits. Original "Olympic II" still in the box complete except for plans. "Legend" in the box complete, and a 2 meter "Whisper" complete in the box. I have no idea what they are worth. But if anyone is interested PM me. I havnt flown gliders for quite awhile, even though I still love em. Do you think anyone might be interested in them?
Best Regards,

They are worthless. Send them to me and I'll dispose of them for you. But do it very quickly. ;-p
Seriously, the Olympic II is a classic. Are you sure you don't want to build it? While it's slow, it's handling is very good. I've had one for 15 years or so, I think.
I'm sorta curious about the Whisper. As I recall, it was built up wood with a 3021 airfoil, and ailerons. Am I right?
The Legend had a reputation for being a bit heavy, but plenty of people have flown them.
I can't tell you prices, but I'm sure the Oly kit is worth quite a bit, even though other manufacturers make them now. Airtronics kits were pretty nice.

Three more classics...sounds like you hit the nostalgia jackpot between these and the Axle! I'd LOVE to pick up a Legend kit someday and the Oly II is the classic that got me started in this hobby 20 years ago...still kick myself on a regular basis for selling it.

Ailerons and flaps. Unusually, for a full house plane, it needs 5 channels. How they did this was to operate both flaps off one servo, using a nosewheel mount to hold a shaft that ran spanwise to operate the flaps. A bit mickey-mouse but I suppose it would work OK. I built mine (OK, had it built) with a more conventional 6 servo layout and it flys just fine. It is a bit close coupled but it is strong.

Thanks guys!
Times are tuff right now. You gotta do ,what you gotta do. Selling off my stash isnt too fun. I dont want top dollar for this stuff, because I know people in this hobby have been very generous to me in the past, and I would like to pass it along at a fair price. Shipping cost and Packaging, so no damage happens is my main concern.
Best Regards,

"E205" Nope, it's the 3021.
I built a Whisper two metre and the Whisper 98 during the first few months that Airtronics offered them.
Spoke with the designer on the merits of the 3021 over the 205 as used on the Saggita. Big step up in performance between the two gliders, some do to planform, airfoil but also a lot to do with the Whisper being a 'modern' design (during that era).
Bottom line is that the Whisper is a great kit to build and a great flying glider.
