Sure he would, and why not? There's nothing written in sacred script that says you can't, as long as you don't go overboard---. ;)

Just a thought, but if you are going to attack someone, it is more effective if your points are coherent. Instead of attacking a long established and respected manufacturer, you may want to utilize that energy to increasing your English language skills. From what I can make out, it appears you are posting this attack because you are upset with legitimate criticism of your plan to produce a commercial kit utilizing another company's hull as a base. Not a good way to introduce yourself to the hobby, but that is, of course, your choice. It is a rather shabby tactic to lash out like this in response, if morals mean anything to you.

To answer what points I can understand in your post, not of all Lee's hulls come with plans, because in some cases he does not have the license to reprint the plans he used to create the hull. In some cases, it is because the drawings are export restricted. I don't know of any hull he offers that cannot be completed using plans from Floating Drydock, among other sources.

If you are truly interested, you can see photos of many of The Scale Shipyard hulls by viewing his website:

http://scaleshipyard.com/Catalog%20Pages/hullindex.html

You could also look in model boat magazines for the last 20 years, or pop into naval museums in the US and Europe. You can go to the David Taylor Naval Basin where his hulls are used for testing purposes by the US Navy. Your could go to the largest R/C show in the US, at Toledo, where a model built using his hull and parts just won best in show.

Perhaps, after 25 years in business, we will be able to say the same about your company. Or not.

I will say this, I am proud to be Lee Upshaw's friend.

To all

Beside no plan of doing a commercial kit, I was upset and you are right this does not belong here my apologies not only to him but also to the forum as such.

Kurt:Thanks for your clarifying this.

Andreas: I missed something here. Apology accepted though.

Toesup: Yea people do put things in here that show what they make, new products and what is in stock, somehow this surprises you???? You have been on these forums far too long to have missed that. :-) I think.

Jeepers1940, Karl & Harry, thanks for the nice comments.

One of the benificial things about these message boards is that it is an open forum for companies in these mostly cottage industries to announce products and the such here. This is good for both the companies and the readers on these forums. The hobbiest want to know what is available and the vendors would like them to know as well. :-)
