Hello,

I was looking into making a plane that would be visible in low light and at night and stumbled upon this (link) (http://glowinc.com/glow-in-the-dark/model-airplanes.aspx)

Thought it looked like a great idea and wanted to know if anyone had tried it here.

It would be a great supplement to maybe add some uv leds to keep it bright!

I would appreciate any feedback before i try it myself.

Thanks,

Ian

I am using glow in the dark paint on my Blade CX-2 Heli and it works great. I paint approx. 1/2 inch top and bottom of the blades and the fly bar (one set of blades gets light blue and the other set gets green), I also paint a stripe on the tail assembly and the nose. The best part is it washes right off with water and it does not stain. The paint is made by Palmer and the kit comes with six colors(green, yellow, blue, orange, red and purple) and it cost $2.49 US dollars at your local hobby or craft store. I will try to take a couple pics and post them once I figure out how to do so, be patient as I'm new to the RC Groups and I don't understand how everything works yet.

Shock Flyer clone with flourescent paint and UV LEDs. Glow-in-the-dark paint does not work as well.

I doubt glow paint would work well, if you went too far and the glow ran out, you might not be able to orientate your plane..
