I purchased a Graupner T-28 Trojan ARF, list price $229. I did get a 20% discount through one of HL's promos. On the initial flight I experienced a tip stall and damaged the wing. I enquired about spare parts and was told they do not stock spare parts for this model. However, the person responding to my question said they could remove the wing from a kit and send it to me for $125.00 +$8.95 S/H. I replied that the price they were quoting for a wing is 55% of the total airplane price, which I consider unreasonable.

So the moral of the story is, don't buy any ARF from Hobby-Lobby that does not have spare parts available.

$125 for just the wing?
Send your money to Hobby People.net where you can get a whole Black Horse Models T-28 kit for $149.....Their version is Much larger 64.75" wingspan compared to the smaller 48" ws T-28 from hobby lobby for $229.

Actually the Graupner T-28 is built by BH Models as well. I looked at the larger T-28, but decided it was too big for my purposes. I fly all electric planes.

Me too.

What motor did you use in your T-28? The biggest motor I have is an E-Flite Power 46, and with 4S LiPo, I didn't think it would be enough power.

Here is the post with my setup on the T-28.

The Power 46 is good for up to 800 watts I understand. It will probably fly the plane but would be best to upgrade just to be safe.
Motor is HXT/Turnigy 50-65A 400kv from UH here:
