Hi there all,

Currently looking into building a UAV (airframe complete) with the papparazzi Autopilot.

We want to have streaming video and data will be coming down the audio channel.

Our problem is we can't find a suitable transmitter for the plane. Does anyone know where we can find a transmitter (preferably in the 900mhz or 1.2ghz range) that will transmit close to 20km Line of sight?

Otherwise are there any very high power radios that we can use for data?

Cheers

I have just taken delivery of some 900MHz gear from rangevideo.com (arrived this morning so I can't give you practical experience range on it yet)
Works great and with the 8dbi patch antenna they are saying around 10mls. If you used a yagi you would probably get the distance you are after.
The site is at least worth a look.

We have ordered several 900MHz and 2.4Ghz TX/RX video units with cameras and they work extremely well. They are half the price of Blackwidow AV and work the same. For the same price you get twice the stuff, always a plus.
