IŽm about to order a bag of assorted stuff from Mouser and I was wondering about throwing in some MOSFETS so I can build a few Free Flight timers. Problem is, IŽm a bit lost in the forest.

What I need is something that would work on one LiPo and a rating of about 1A maximum current or so. It also has to be small and light.

Anyone cares to give a suggestion?

Well the ones I use are called IRLML2502....but I guess that's more or less the same ;).

Oh yes, I looked for the irlm2502, but Mouser doesnŽt list it (or I couldnŽt find it)
Anyway, I gave up on ordering from them since I saw that the minimuy postage rate they have for international orders is 55 dollars. Thanks but no thanks.

I have to look for some supplier in South East Asia, there must be a big store in Hong Kong or Taiwan... :)

The VN10 is a little TO92 1A n-channel mosfet, I use them often.

Are you after pin-through or SMD? For SMD there's the FDN337 which is a nice one (SOT23).

That looks about right.
IŽll be darned, that site shows up in Thai for me... I still havenŽt learn to read all that well; IŽll have to look for a way to change the language and check the postage costs.

pldaniels, yes, IŽm looking for small SMD stuff. I mean to use it in small Free Flight planes so IŽd like the timer to weight less than half a gram if possible.

AleG,

I keep stock of the FDV301, 303 and FDN337 for N-ch types, between those (in SOT23) I find that most of my signal and small power switching needs are handled.

The 337 is good for up to 2.2A at times, though i like to keep it under 1A to keep the temperature down.

Good luck with the timer :) (I just got back from the workshop where I've been soldering up a few hundred SMD parts for speed controllers :) )

Paul.
