Hi Bill
Cannot find my other thread from a few days back, but I still have an issue.
With a lower cell pack (like a 2s) hooked through the main power leads all works fine. No problems with internal regulator heating up.
I built my own harness to power from the Rx, and have tried this on the bench. Polarities are all correct, and I drive the Rx (Futaba 5114 G3) with a regulated 2s at 6.1V. I am delivering 6.1V to the logger, it powers up fine and appears to be recording data. However when the data is downloaded it does not see the expander, just shows no expander present.
Also the amps are being recorded at 1.1A continuously with no power flowing through the logger. If I plug a pack in (say a 10s) to the batt leads, I now get about 45W going through the logger just sitting there. Unplug it and the amps stay at 1.1.
The harness is just simply a 2 lead extension going from +/- on rx to +/- as is on the USB. Am I missing something on this cable?
Thanks,
Chad
