View Full Version : Discussion Can I set pitch/throttle curves on Reflex XTR?

Hi,

I fly Thunder Tiger Mini Titan E325 with my Futaba 9CAP radio. It's a CCPM heli (120 degree swash) with aileron/elevator controls implemented through programmable radio mixin of 3 swash servos. I would like to use the same program on my radio to fly Reflex XTR TT Mini Titan or Trex 450 heli and test throttle/pitch curves when I change them in my radio. However, because Mini Titan has aileron and elevator controls through mixing of 3 servos and Reflex XTR seems to asign aileron/elevator to 2 channels, I'm not sure whether using the same radio program is possible when flying in Reflex. Any ideas if this can be done?

bump, can someone answer this please? Should I take this to heli freak?

I don't have XTR, but generally found that you will find the CCPM mixing is done in the model rather than on the transmitter, so as to allow XTR to be used with a basic TX.

You could try editing the model so that it replicates a standard heli with ELV / AIL / PITCH servos all on seperate un-mixed channels, and see if that works with the swash mixing on the TX

Bump, the standard answer here would be RTFM (REFLEX help, "Adjustments", "Model parameters", the second block in the "Model parameters helicopter" dialog).

120 degree swash mixing and throttle/pitch curves are two different things. The former is not possible, as Malc already told. It should be possible with a new program version we are waiting for and for what the SlimStick interface or the iVol controller is a prerequisite (together with the current program version).

The latter is possible as long as I know REFLEX. Just follow the (granted, short) explanation in the help. As Malc said, you have to use an own model setup in your transmitter for that, set up for the conventional two 90 degrees swash servos and one pitch servo. Copy the throttle/pitch setup from your real heli setup, play with it, and maybe copy the modified curve back to the real model setup.

I tried it and it worked for me. That's one of the things that should work even better with the missing new program version.

Malc and BurkhardE, thanks for the explanations. Will give a try tonight. Best!
