Hi all,

I'm currently building an air speed meter with 2 pressure sensors I got hold of.
They are connected to 2 instrumentation amplifiers and to a uC's ADC. How do I calibrate the span error in an instrumentation amplifier?

Hi,

What do you mean by "span error" ???

You just have an offset trim and a gain trim ... see related instr.AMP's datasheets and application notes.

... a "twin" airspeed meter ... that reminds me someting already built at home ... LOL !

Alain,
By Span error I mean the calibration needed to see the expected sensor's output when the input is at maximum .
Pretty sure that's what you mean by gain trim.

What did you mean by "twin" airspeed meter. Don't you always need 2 sensors to measure the differential pressure in order to get the air speed?

Ha,ha

it was a project to avoid using RPM sensors for twin engine models ...
