a fundamental question

I am away to be building my boat very soon but theres one thing which
has been haunting the back of my mind.

When the inevitable happens and the engine stalls (does this even
happen on zenoah engines often?) or the theres been an over
enthusiastic turn and the boat flips how do you retrieve the boat?
Lets assume theres no rescue boat you can jump in yourself and the
waters too deep for wading. Does anyone have any ingenious retrieval
ideas?

A second model boat?

I keep a fishing rod and reel handy. With a sponge ball
covering a fishing sinker, I cast out over the boat and reel
it in. I've also used another RC boat to push it in. The
fishing rod is easier.

Whatever you do, please don't try to swim out to retrieve your boat.
Numerous people have died trying to do that. Some people use an
inflatable boat that you can buy at most discount stores fairly
cheaply. If you do that however be careful not to puncture the
inflatable boat with a sharp prop or turnfin or anything else sharp on
the boat. Doug

I concur, ask your self this, is your boat worth more to yourself and loved
ones than yourself?
my club uses a small dingy w/ a trolling motor for boat retrieval...real
handy when we race super vees and end up having to 'rescue' 5 out of 6
boats.
