Or if you are electronically inclined....
Take apart a servo, remove the bottom circuit board, desolder the pot, and the motor. Put 2 2K resistors in the place of the pot, solder LED where motor used to be.
Bear in mind that servos respond to signal of 100,0,100 from the reciever. So off would be neutral or 0 and +5V would be +100. -100 would be reverse voltage, so program TX accordingly.

Hi Bryan,

I took a esky server apart and I can see where the pot is but it haves 3 wires, could post some drawings?

there there is 1 wire on each end of the pot and a center tap put a 1k from each end to the center tap and it shoul work fine the three wires will be in order on the pot

Yeah, I agree, a diagram or photo would rock. I have been wanting to do this as well and haven't quite figured it out exactly. I get the jist, but would like to see it to make sure the image in my head is right.

Thanks!! I think I can handle this now. I have a couple of beat down and broken BlueBird servos that will go under the knife and soldering iron soon !
