I remember along time ago when i had 6 months to go at Ft. Lewis, Wash., we had 6" of snow and a guy from south Texas hadn't ever seen snow, tossed a snowball at company co and he just laughed cause he knew the guy hadn't seen snow before. Now 2 days later it was all gone!

My main concern is that you guys have clicked on the photo with MORE! naked 'man' then the other photo, 64 views verus 48 views!
...And don't blame your wives or girlfriends either  :p What are you guys? bunch of dirty old men  ...hang on... :D
Anyhow back to the weather; we've got a minor cold snap down here, not snow cold but cold enough to warrant a wardrobe upgrade from scody old heavy metal t-shirt and shorts to a slightly newer and thicker t-shirt, shorts and socks.

It is not being "dirty old men" as it is utter disbelief at seeing somebody standing buck naked in ice water running a RC boat. I saw the thumbnail and wasn't sure I was seeing right. After going and cleaning my glasses I clicked the thumbnails to make sure I wasn't crazy.
Does anybody else out there think this should qualify as an "Extreme Sport"?

I hope your excuse is that you fell in the water while running the boat and you started a fire to dry out your clothes.

Stu, I've been to Kiwiland several times, and can't recall temperatures that can be called "extreme" by any sense of the imagination, even when in Queenstown, which lies in the N.Z. southern Alps---. :)
I cruised Lake Wakatipu on the "Earnslaw", and it was very temperate. ;)
Saw some nice-looking and athletic folks there though, and some rather hearty Maori people who were acceptibly clad---. :p
But I suppose that if you approach the Arctic circle, and the land of the midnight sun, with its accompanying midnight darkness, you might get into some sunlight fetishes, which may include R/C boating in with nothing more than rubber boots on---. :o
Might that be doctor Hannu himself---? :D

just coming out of 24 hour darkness, added to paint and aerosol fumes, I can see why Finnish modellers are a little odd, lol,

I know that it is still chilly here when we should be seeing temps in the 50-60 degree range and the high temp was only 42. Not right, but we have been spoiled for a couple of years here with 60 degree weather by now. Just means that we are getting the bad weather out of the way now so when boating season and show s happen, the weather will be nice! That I can settle for. ( besides the cold weather makes it easier to justify staying indoors and working on prodjects!!!!)

Today it is in the mid 70's,the ice is gone and the boats are floating. Somehow put a hole in the sporty but well above the waterline. Will be running the pro boat Classic runabout this evening. Ya gotta love it!

Good day Ladies and Genteleman
I have to confess that it's me on these "Nordic white ass extreme rc cool boating" -videos/photos. I appologize to all "victims" that saw these images. Yet I´m flattered for one of the wifes that commented politely on my white ass.Thank you!
You propably understand why the shots were from behind... water/air temp was around -1 celsius.
This propably shows the true nature of finnish people...we take everything to extreme.
Have a nice day any way.

To correct on of the previuos comments:"Doctor" Hannu is only responsible of shooting these questionable films/photos so do not blame him.
After being manouvering 600ft oil tanker at Baltic Sea on moderate ice, my good friend and neighbour "doctor" Hannu provided some alternative maneuvering. This really gets your mind of work. I recommend!

What can I say? Loved the pic. Not every man that flies RC is straight. I've been flying rc planes for years and also enjoy nude beaches and sometimes lucky enough to combine the two. What incredible freedom to fly naked! Thanks for the beautiful photo and yes you do have a nice ass!!!!!!
