hows about a barge collective pictoral everybody? scale ... in action if you can

I'm personally thinking about a 3ft wide 4ft long salvage type .. with a working crane on the back 1/3 of the deck.. maybe bash up a RC crane toy for it ;) .. use the track motors for twin engines .. make it self powered but mainly for manouvering while salvage ... eventually a lil 20inch sub on it's deck... yanno all those kool ideas that I can't find time for right now ;)

maybe a pile of pics would help ppls come up with their own ideas!

awesome! ... while I personally am looking at crane barges .. I think this thread should be a complilation of all your guys' barges ... some times these floating works of art get forgotten for the powered pushers ;)

I'm surprised noone has posted up their pics. At least a bud-barge would be expected.

Here is my gravel barge in all its glory.

Hi Boatfox :)

What did you use underneath the gravel? I was thinking wire mesh, paper mache, and an epoxy sealer coat?

the construction was of 1X6 wood sides and ply top. The "mounds" of gravel are fiberglass cloth hung loose and resined while upside down. After it was dry the barge went right side up , more resin and rock were applied. Viola' instant barge. ;)
