:D Finally the wind settled down to 5mph for the day and got to fly my EPP Eagle yesterday. What fun, the first flight I climbed out to about 250’ under power and thermal flew for an additional 15 min with no additional power required. The Thermals were light but consistent enough to climb almost out of sight several times. I finally came down and did some minor trimming and flew again with great results, it thermals a lot better than I expected. The Eagle is very stable and easy enough for a beginner but still lots of fun for the expert pilot. The only disappointment was no Raptors or Crows came to visit, hopefully next time. I shimmed the motor down and to the right about a 1/16”. There are some videos on YouTube of the EPP Eagle slope soaring.

We need to get a squadron of EPP Eagles.

I think you did a wonderful job with the graphics.

Thanks for the compliment but you ought to see some of the artwork of other builders, I wish I was that talented.

Here is a link to see the EPP Eagle slope soaring. Can’t wait until my next flight and hope to do some video to post on this thread. Maybe the Crows will come out to do battle.

Checked out the Video and believe that the Eagle configuration would be suitable for the next generation of the Shuttle that I currently fly (when I get the chance). Fuse conversion for the short coupled V tail would be simpler, and the stronger roll rate because of the poly increase (using my existing wing set) should be an advantage.

What I am saying is that the Eagle has gotten ahead of my design criteria, i.e. something I was sneaking on - but with a T tail arangement in 2001. Purpose was to use a flying wing format with a tiny stabulator for upset to higher alpha for slow flight.

Note: not using a reflex on the profile just means a few more square on the tail surface (that I have no fear of employing).
