Hello
it is possible to make an optical feedback for the GPS system,
that notify when the recorder is connected with more that 2 satellites, and we are ready to start the fly?
some times happens that when I start my flight the GPS acquisition is not started and although the runtime is big, the GPS antenna will not reconaize any satellites for all the flight.
in the GPS antenna there is a led, this is used only for the information of power on or off, it is possible to add a flash function to indicate the different state of the satellites acquisition?
Best Regards,
Lorenzo

I second this request ... we need some way to confirm the GPS receiver is locked on.

RTM,
If you wish the recorder to only start recording GPS (and all other) parameters after a GPS Fix is acquired, select “Tools, Set Logging Triggers” and select the option to trigger on GPS Fix Acquire. NOTE: If this option is triggered, the LED will flash in “pause” state (two quick flashes repeated) until a fix is acquired. This is a handy way to tell when the fix has been acquired, if you do not use the Seagull Wireless Dashboard.
Also note that the Recorder will not log any parameters if the GPS is not connected or has not acquired a fix, when this option is selected.

thank you for the suggestion,
but if I use this setup, and unexpectedly I need to begin befor the gps start time, I will lose all other information!

It's not a suggestion. It's a direct cut and paste from the GPS installation manual from Eagletree.
Since they already provide the "flashing light" you are suggesting they add I really don't know how to help you.
Have a great day,

True, but I don't always use the GPS, nor do I bring a laptop to the field to reprogram the elogger.
It should not be very complicated to modify the firmware so that the LED blinks differently with the GPS connected if it has (solid) or has not acquired a fix (blink 1 / sec), regardless of the recording triggers.
