This thing was announced on helifreak a little while ago. Every day
people have been hounding the guy for a release date and price, and it's
(I think) available now. $329. It's a two-axis digital flybar system,
like the V-Bar but it doesn't incorporate the tail.
Doesn't include any head parts so you have to modify your flybar'd head
to work, but it looks good!

What do you think? I need to learn to fly helis before I look at
anything like this, but it looks great to me.

Alvin is gonna give Finless (anyone is the hobby for more than 30 days
knows who Finless is) a unit to check out. Hopefully, since I live
less than an hour from Finless, I'll get to fly it and see how it
works.

Awesome. Let us know what you think. Unfortunately one of the UK buyers
just got stung for an eatra 30% import duty and vat, which takes it to
$460 :( Still a lot cheaper than a V-Bar I think though.

I'm flying with Finless tomorrow and I know he got the gear about a
week ago so he may have it up and running already. If I get a chance
to fly it, I'll post my impressions.

No joy. Finless didn't have the head parts to do the swap, but I did
see a Trex500 with a vStabi flybarless system on it. OMG was it fast
on the cyclic.
Building my 500 right now (just need a gyro/TR servo and it's done)
and I may have to investigate a flybarless setup...
