Hello I wanted to install an eagletree e-logger with a temp sensor to my YS91SR motor to measure the temp during my entire flight. Can I power the eagletree from a separate small lipo. I really did not want to put it in-line between my main battery and voltage regulator. I figured someone out there has used this in a Nitro plane or helicopter. Thank you in advance for any help...

I'm all electric - but I see no reason why you could not do this with a small 2 cell Lipoly or even a small NiCd pack of 5 cells or so. Tell the logger (via the PC application) not to log voltage (which should be pretty steady) or current (which should be zero) and increase the amount of time you can capture the data you want, too.....

Probably go with the version that has the Deans Ultras attached directly to the unit so that you need not carry around the heavy wires for the "load" side of the logger, which would partially offset the added weight of the battery to power it.
