I have been watching you guys do these big planes for a while wishing I could do one as well. I have finally pickup a new plane. I went with the Aeroworks 75cc Extra quick build. The guys at Aeroworks were very interested in what I was doing with the plane. They say it should be around 10lb empty so all up weight should be pretty close the what it is on a DA 85
I am planning on useing the Hacker A100 combo with some Thunder Power 12s packs. It should work OK ;)

Here are the specs
Wing span 96 inches.
Wing Area 1625 sq. in.
Fuselage Length 80" (Rudder to front of cowling)
Fuselage length 85" ( Rudder to front of spinner)
Weight 20 to 21 lbs

I will get some more pictures posted

Thanks for all the inspiration guys

Great flying airplane. I'm flying one on a ZDZ 80. Keep it under 23 pounds, and it has a really great feel.

Good luck!!

I am slowly moving forward. I have the servos coming now. I am going to use the JR 8711 all the way around. I am pretty sure they will work very well. It looks like I may be waitting a bit for the A100 to come in stock

I will take some pictures as I start to put it togather but really their is very little to do. When they say quick build they really mean it. What a great Job they did on this plane.

All I can say is WOW,,,,,,, That is a great combo. The Hacker A100, 170amp ESC, 12s Thunder Power extreme V2's and this plane work very, very well. It has more vertical then it needs. Thanks for all the help from Sean at Aero Models and Chris S from Thunder Power.....

Nice! How about some pictures of your set-up? I know a guy with the same plane, he's using a Neumotor 1527 geared 6.7 to 1 with great results.

Paul, I am using the same only Thunder Power backs. So I have two 6s 5000 mah packs in series and 2 6s 5000 mah packs in parallel so I end up with 12s 10000 mah pack. After a 8 min flight I put about 2700 mah back in the packs
This is with a 27x12TH Carbon Mezlik prop.

I will get some pictures this weekend at the field so you all can see it togather
