I just finished my Paul Bradley Fw-109 Nocal. All the framework is finished, sans sanding. All that's left to do is construct the motor tube and cover (and build my prop, should I choose to go that route). I think it looks rather nice. Learned quite a bit in the process and I really enjoyed. Now I can't wait to have it flying in our High School Gym! My Physics teacher will be speachless! No figures regarding weight, as I don't have a scale just yet. However, my Physics teacher may allow me to use his. Oh, and I need to buy some light rubber somewhere. Is Tan rubber good for Nocals, or is something lighter needed?

hey
you can build a scale
i did
the only critical points are getting the hooks and hanger right.
it will be more accurate than most digital scales.
of course you have to get your weights right.
i used balsa for the first one i made the second i used balsa with spruce uprights.
be careful when glueing the scale to the beam it will warp just lay some weight on it till it dries.
the only thing else i changes wass added a hook where the beam hangs on the razor. this hook keeps the beam from flying off. i also made the razor stick out a little further(actually used a little longer razor).
cant wait to see pics of your fw.
i like german planes.
by the way those paul bradley props are awesome. i have used the props on all kinds of planes. i have yet to build a nocal though.
have fun

I've got enough planes to build, and now you're giving me ideas about a scale! :) I'll make sure to read that and give it a go. May take a while, though. Lots of other stuff going on. I'll have to get Dad to "learn" me in the ways of the digital camera (or how to get the photos on to the computer). I can't wait to get the tissue painted and detailed!
