I built an rc predator from scratch but i thought this was a good place to post this because i am going to put a 2.4 GHz mini wireless cam (www.egrandbuy.com) that rotates with a seperate controller that i set up, i am wanting to record my friends dirtbiking from an aerial view but i was wondering how far the wireless range is on the video cam and what the recording capabilities are of this cam? I would like to know soon cause my friends having a huge dirtbike race in like 2 weeks. THANKS-Josh

I'm thinking it is a 10mw unit, and with the stock ground whip antenna - I'd guess you'd get 500-800 feet of range. I tested the same power unit, except I have an 8db flat patch antenna on my ground receiver, and could get 1000-1200 feet with a little snow and dropouts.

I use a 9" TFT LCD DVD player that has a video input. I have a Robart's transmitter tray that has my radio, the monitor, and the receiver mounted on it. All runs off a 3s1500 for about an hour and a half, or I have a 12v 7ah lead acid field battery, as well as a cig plug. I have a second "ground station" that is all the same equipment mounted on a tripod (except my radio of course).
Search ebay for LCD TFT (you don't really need the DVD part).... they have them down to 2.5" that would mount right to your radio, but I like the detail of a 7-9" screen. Sunlight sucks - you'll have to use some sort of sunshade/hood if in direct sunlight. Overcast days are perfect for viewing a downlink monitor.
The simplest way to increase your signal range (aside from a more powerful transmitter) is a good ground antenna. You can buy one (like an 8db or larger 14db) from places like www.futurehobbies.com, or if you are ambitious and thrifty you can make your own Goof Proof Patch Antenna (http://www.rc-cam.com/gp_patch.htm) . Really is a big difference.
