I completely dorked it! I have a low wing sailplane with a dihedral problem. The right wing has greater dihedral than the left wing. While I comtemplate building a new wing, I was wondering what the effect of this error would be on flying.

Will it just require some rudder to trim it out? Turn better in one direction?

Any thoughts?

 Doh!

If it's just dihedral (and not poly at the tips), then it should simply look like the fuse is rotated a degree or two one way, right? If so simply build up a little platform between the fuse and wing on one side, and square the fuse up with the wing's proper angle.

If the wing is canted relative to the tail, then the plane will have a tendency to turn because the "horizontal" tail lift isn't purely up or down but has a sideways component. The effect will hardly be noticable for small angles of cant. (The fuselage has little aerodynamic effect but just functions to hold the wing and tail together.) The turn can be compensated with rudder off set for one flight speed.

I went ahead a filled in the wing hold down screw hole and re-drilled the pilot hole in the leading edge for the wing dowel. I'm going to try and reposition the wing tonight.
