I'm building a plane that I guess could be looked at as part full fuselage and part profile.
There's a fuselage on top of the flat wing that covers the gear and a "profile" along the bottom that will keep the nose from digging in on landing and give a spot to launch from.
I'm wondering if the long profile will also act as a sort of vertical stabilizer.
The plane wags it's tail a bit and I'm hoping this could solve it without me changing much on the vertical stabilizer larger up top.

Depends on how much of it is behind the CG. Actually, the entire vertical projection of the fuselage will act as a fin, and not only the "flat" portion, pretty much as on any plane. As far as stability is concerned the thickness of the fuselage has very little effect, the area projected in each plane is much more important.

Thanks. Not much of it would be behind the CG.
I've only flown a few wings, I'm not sure if this would be considered a wing but it flys similar, They all wag a little. One of them was fixed wing down winglets at the tips so I was thinking it might have a similar effect.

it might worsen the flight behavor if it's ahead of the CG, actually. You can see this same sort of effect on those planes that have been converted to floatplanes. Normally they need additional fin area to counterbalance the side area added by the floats
