For those on Vancouver Islan - the Nanaimo group have a show at Country Club Mall (north side of town). About 65 ish boats on display plus pond.
I was there yesterday and will try to post a few photos for those unable to get there. Good cross section of models on display.

:D thank you! ... my camera is on the fritz :( best time for taking pics would be on Saturday though.. as I understand there will be more dropped off over the course of today (friday)
I was going to enter my boats (and possibly leave the 'shark' springer in the pond for anyone that wanted a go... but given my collection is a hair small I didn't wanna be without them on Sunday morning
BTW... whatcha think of the snow today?
though I did manage to get a pic (on my cellphone) of the kiddo taking a ride on the monster tug while the setup was happening Thursday Mornin (with permission etc etc ofcourse)
if I can figure out my grouchy cell service I'll see if I can get it online and post it.

Been a few years since I have made it up there for this one. Was well worth the trip as there are usally around 100 plus models on display with a nice little indoor pond to play in. Good selection of models as well.

from what I hear it's a lil 'slow' this year... but again they mentioned to me to wait and see what Saturday brings.
I've been harassing MVIMM for a little over a month every Sunday .. I'm not an official member yet .. so this is the first time I've seen ALOT of these models .. it's really cool :D

Hi Reckless - I was there Thursday am - 10:30 or so until 1 ish. Good thing I didn't drive up today - I would have spent it in traffic due to the bizarre weather! juggling the drive between watching hockey (grandson plays, son coaches team so all go!) and work. Will sort photos tonight and post a few. Keith - a few familiar tugs there.

Here are a few photos - my camera skills need a tweak! I use the Auto function rather than the other modes but should read the manual I guess.

Mike, thanks for the photos. You don't need to excuse your photo talents, they look just fine. Jerry J

Nice photos, Mike! What a winderful display of boats. I wish the ferry ride to Nanaimo wasn't so expensive. :(
Is the 'Westminster Apache' built on the same hull as your tug?

woot! ... there were some more this morning when I ran through (was at the insurance agent ran over to the display to say hi to a few) .. there was something for everyone.. great cross section.. sail, tug, few fast boats, couple subs, warships, few springers :D
that big monster tug on the cart/trailer was the one I got my daughters pic on ... she was almot perfect scale .. the picture doesn't to it justice to it's size ;)

Andy, yes and no. It is actually built on the Westminster hunter hull that was the predacessor to the hull that Mike has. ;)

Looks like fun...
I wish people here in Portland were up to such fun displaying their boats.
