View Full Version : Discussion Bad AXI motor

I have called Monday earlier this week, and then again yesterday to inquire about returning an AXI motor that had a piece of magnet break off and throw. I was told that without a receipt, I would be charged 1/2 price for a replacement motor, plus shipping. I was delighted with that, but both times I was told I needed to get an "RA" number from "Frieta" before doing anything else, and then I was forwarded to her voicemail. I am not sure why no one is returning my calls, is there something else that I should be doing that would make this process any easier?

Thanks,

I received the new replacement AXI motor today, along with my new FlyCamOne. I want to give my warmest thanks to Hobby-Lobby and Jason Cole for going out of the way to take care of my issues, and look forward to working with Hobby-Lobby in the future. See you guys at the Expo in Phoenix!

Thanks again

I bought a little screamers park jet motor a few weeks ago. The motor pulled 15 amps when brand new. Now it pulls 5 amps. It seems that the motor is going bad. I need to send it back. How does this process work with Hobby Lobby?

(yes fresh battery, and changed ESC's as well)

Hey Randy, I would suggest you call Hobby-Lobby's customer service at 1-866-933-5972 and ask for technical support. I understand that they document the call and assign you an "RA" number to send back the old product if it is still under warranty. Hope that helps!

Jim Varley,

Does the new FlyCamOne look like the photos on HobbyLobby?

Hey 7th!

Pretty much the same as the photo, maybe thinner in person than the picture, I have used it three times now, and I am quite pleased with the quality of the video. (Haven't done any still pictures yet, but it's supposed to be higher quality than the video).
I have shown the videos to a few friends, and they are amazed that I got such footage from something so small. I have only used it on a slow stick so far, and it is light enough that the weight isn't affecting the flight, just needing to give a couple of clicks of elevator to compensate. If you are on the fence on the purchase, I am not sorry at all I bought this.

My 2 cents...

Jim,

I have one and it says 1.3Mega Pix under the lense. The little cover over the
motion sensor is white. I'm wondering if the newest version is like the picture,
meaning no lettering under the lense and a black cover over the motion sensor.
It's always important to be specific when asking questions.

Ahhh, yes, mine sounds like it is identical to yours, and I see what you are talking about. The one I received though from Hobby-Lobby did have packaging indicating it was a Flycamone2, and likewise, it has that inscription at the bottom of the camera I received as well. I assume that perhaps the picture is a prototype? I am not sure, but in any case, I still feel good about the camera. Do you know something I don't? or just curious?

Was just curious to see if anyone had received one like what is shown in the ads.

Thanks, Matt
