Newbie here...have had my HBFP heli for a month now and just received the USB interface cable for my tx and downloaded and registered CV last night.

Tremendous product! And to see how responsive the author is on this forum is a very pleasant surprise.

One question - I use Vista and have installed it correctly... but now when I try to load the bundled HBFP it always starts out in an uncontrolled spin, like when you land hard in the sim and "the tail breaks". The other helis load ok. Also, this tail malfunction thing on all the copters when the program senses a slightly harder than normal landing is really annoying. Forces me to reload quite a bit... maybe I just need to get better

Anyone else had a problem with the HBFP loading like this?

EDIT: This post belongs in the Clearview wishlist thread... moderator request already submitted

few things to check:
1. Go to "Start" then "Control Panel" then "Game Controllers" and select and calibrate you controller. During the calibration, when asked "Press a button to continue" press the space bar instead.
2. In ClearView, load HBFP and press "i" to set to default start position. It is possible that you pressed "r" which creates new start position and that new start position results in a crash.
3. Regarding breaking tail, always land the model nose first and be very soft at landing. The real models are even easier to boomstrike.
