Can anyone tell me the difference between Reflex Flight Simulator and Reflex XTR? I can't seem to find this info anywhere, but there is a difference in price.

I think you'll find they are one and the same.

Let me clarify that some. Even on the same site ( helihobby.com and I think the Reflex site) there are two different versions. Reflex Flight Simulator usually goes for about $150 and Reflex XTR is about $180. Both come with a cable. Is one maybe the blue (sky colored) box and the other is the black box? Just trying to figure it out before I make my purchase. Thanks for the help.

Give helihobby a call, maybe they can clarify their website. If you look on their menu it states FLIGHT SIMULATORS > REFLEX XTR but then you are correct in that it states what appears to be two versions "flight simulator" and "XTR".

The only thing that changed about 12 - 15 months ago was when Reflex launched the iVol which was used with ver 5.04 upwards, but XTR existed before that, so I'm just as confused as you my friend !

Edit:

Ok from my research I believe the answer is they changed their dongle because it was easy to hack. I believe the lower priced one is 5.03 and the higher priced one is 5.04

Up to version 5.03 uses the old dongle there will not be any more upgrades to support this dongle. Version 5.04 uses a new dongle and will be supported with future upgrades.

I will ask customer service to look at this information later today to verify this accurate.

Well I just called HeliHobby about this. They are out of stock and no longer selling the old version. Unfortunately they are also out of stock of the new version with the JR cable that I need.

^ thats correct the older version in the bigger sly colored box(5.03 and later )uses a cable that looks like a phone cord and the new one in the smaller black box (5.04 )uses a "micro" USB like a camera plug, and has some software updates that let it run smoother.
