So, the fleets getting bigger and the house is getting smaller. I was moving the boats around and I realized that I really need a way to protect them from damage (and little curious hands) during storage.
I was thinking about a plywood box with a built in cradle and a sliding plexiglass side (so I can see in) to guard the boat from damage. What does everyone else do? I am sure there are some great ideas out there. Don't be shy... ;)

what about a all plexi box like in museums... that way you can get more light in and see your nice model!!

That's an idea. I may want to be able to stack these "units" up in the corner. How does one stick plexi together?
I should also mention ( now that you mention museum" it would also be nice to help keep the dust and dirt off paint. The paint on my humble springer took a beating over the winter :(

There was another discussion about boat storage and cases (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=574823&page=2&highlight=cases).
There are glues for plexiglass and acrylic, some are available at the LHS like Plastruct Weldene or Bondene. I've had good luck using regular cionatact cement to attach the acrylic storm dorr glazing to wood angle.

That is a beautiful case, Bob. One of these days I am going to build a boat worthy of a display case like that one! :)
