talk about a revelation...
My Grandmother blabbed!
My mom found out what I was doing and asked what I was building. I told her
that I was building an R/C truck. she seemed really interested in what I was
up to. Not that it really mattered, she was gonna know about it after I
finished this project.
my mom told me a story that left me dumbfounded. We were living at an our old
home in New Orleans. I was about 5 at the time. Turns out that my mom & dad
bought me an R/C car & plane. the idea was me & my dad would spend time playing
with it. Guess what, my grandmother thought it was bad idea was dangerous!
What she did was utterly insulting. she changed tags on the 2 gifts from me to
another relative who was really, really fat (something on the order of
250-300lbs) to say the least. my couldn't find the present they had for me and
eventually, my grandmother told them she switched tags going to that relative.
Talk about a grinch!!!! what a meanie!
I would have been in this hobby 34 years earlier..
