Google Earth is a pretty good tool for visualizing autopilot missions but no-one seems to be uploading their flights so here are some of ours to show what can be done. Another tool not getting any coverage is anaglyphs. You can get a lot more information about what actually happened from of an anaglyph than a 2D screenshot be we don't see many of those getting uploaded either.
Next step: rigid body visualization in Google Earth.

Dumb question about the anaglyphs: are we supposed to have 3D glasses handy or is there some other way to view them that regular people can use?

I have uploaded several of mine as screenshots from Google Earth, but I think people may be reluctant to "submit" or post raw .kml or .kmz path files, for privacy sake. I try to remember to exclude the bottom left of the screen in my screenshots.
Unfortunately (or fortunately?) I did not have integrated data logging enabled on my autopilot when I did that 15km desert flight, so I have no actual path file record. I may have posted it in my initial (and naive) excitement over my project, then came to regret it later after I learned that what I did is not a good idea (the long flight like I did)

You don't have to be a special person to get 3D glasses. A few years ago they were free. Now they're probably a few dollars. For visualizing tight hovering flight paths, the anaglyph is the only way to do it. For fixed wings, the anaglyph probably isn't as useful.
