I ordered a Spektrum 6100E rx online Sunday night and got a prompt email saying the order had been received. I requested the 4x4x4 $3.99 shipping as this is a tiny piece. I received two more emails one on Monday and last on Tuesday. The last one stating that it had been shipped and that this would be my last email. In that email it directed me to a link to track my package. It also showed that the package had shipped first class mail and that I had been charged $8.99 for shipping. I promptly called and spoke to Max who said I had not been charged the $8.99 and would only be charged $3.99. I went to my bank website to see what I had been charged. I found I had indeed been charged the $8.99 so I called Max back. Max was a bit argumentative and transfered me to the shipping managers voice mail. I left a message and never got a call back. Wednesday in the AM I filled out an online Customer Service Request form and received a case number with no results. As of this PM (Wednesday 03/19/08) the tracking link does not show any info I have no product and I am not getting any answers from Hobby Lobby who is only a 2 hours drive from me.

I should say I was supporting a local business buy buying this from them as they are only 2 hours away from me. Posting here is a last resort for me. Can someone from HL make this good?

Giovanni,
Please contact me Thursday at 615-732-7217 or PM me your number so I can call you. I will honor what Max said about the shipping charge. It should be noted, however, that due to the large packaging Horizon uses to ship such a small receiver, it does not fit into the 4"x4"x4" box and therefore does not qualify for the $3.99 shipping.

Thanks,
Jason Cole

I can attest to the fact that the AR6100E package is much larger than necessary. I'm not sure why Spektrum packages it that way. If it will work for your application, the regular AR6100 is packaged in a carded bag, which should fit in the 4x4x4 box, I would think.

The fact that it would not fit is not the real issue. The level of service is. It is not so much what went wrong but how it was handled.

Note:On the 28th I received the $5 refund for the shipping. Look what I had to go through to get it.
