Hi guys,

I currently own the clearview simulator and my gripe with the sim so far is that it does not feel fast enough in relation to reality. In short, the sim gives me the impression that the helicopter is wading through water, rather than air and has delayed reactions, especially with regard to the descent rates.

My request for assistance from the vendor thus far has been futile, as they insist that it has been tested in relation to real flight.

So i would like to move on, as i hope a good sim will save me many good dollars and more importantly, time when training up for the basics of 3D.

Cost is not an issue. Please shoot your recommendations here please. Thanks

P.S I am using an Esky transmitter as a training controller (i use a DX7 for the real thing) should this matter? Thanks

I second the vote for Phoenix. I have both G4 and Phoenix, and the difference between the two are night and day.

In this post here, I summarize why I like Phoenix:

Isn't there a timing you can edit via note pad.
Or someway you can adjust the parimeter of your model.
In the model's exe file or the sceneries's .exe file.

Anyway, You can also try Heli-X. It's Free
You can adjust the model's parimeters by opening the model's .XML
files. I'm not sure of the total parimeters you can adjust but there's plenty.
You can also scale up or down Heli-x models easily in the .xml files
unlike other sims.

In FMS it's the .par file, but FMS 2.85 has a par edit add on

In the Realflight it's built in just like Preflight.

I dunno...They all look pretty much the same and do pretty much
look the same to me and feel the same to me. It probably the way i fly
or my TX and the way I adjust the perimeters and the way I adjust
the viewing options. i like for the models to be able to float all over the
screen and not stay FIXED at the center of the screen.
I also like it better when the models can also move horizontal
or side to side of the screen...not just up and down.

I know i can slap skyboxes or the same photolitic scenery into everyone of these sims.

If money is not an Issue...get them all ... :D Free or not.lol
