This is an experience of a bunch of newbies at a newly discovered DS Zone just 1 1/2 hours from Sydney

Hey Ben

We all trecked out to swansea yesterday afternoon....it is DS
heaven there!!!!! We all had a go at it, the acceleration was insane!

Picture the carpark except with no cars, and where the tar is there
is a grassy park instead! with no people what so ever!

It gets better,.....Directly behind where you stand about 30m back
from the face, the park backs off up to a slight grassy slope. The
wind hits the face of the front slope on the cliff, and must hook up
over it to the back one and the whole space between the two
slopes (about 30m horizontal distance) from the ground up to about
15/ 20ft above ground is dead air! but above that is lift city!

It is bizarre, you can be standing right on the face of the cliff and
not feel a breeze on your face, but just above your head (and out in
front on the cliff face is blowing bigtime)

To the left and right of the cliff face is a small tree/bush line that
also creates an awesome seperation boundary.

So you fly an orbit that takes you left, straight out off the cliff face,
left over the treeline high, fly low down into the dead air behind the
tree line and rocket back over into the face and out at a million
miles an hour.....we were easily getting the FB Wing buffet from
the speed...so you need to get the JR out there asap!

The whole time we were saying Ben would love this!!

The guys are right, I do love it.

Kind Regards
Benjamin

Hi Ben,
Can you tell me exactly where at Swansea? I'm having a look at the UBD, so any street name or reference to crabs beach would be helpful.
Sounds like a good spot.
I've been doing a fair bit of flying due to still unable to kitesurf after breaking my femur on the rock groyne at Doll's Point 13 months ago. Thems the breaks.
