Large Lipo Setup Question

Just curious what you guys that use 5 or 6s lipos in series use for connectors? What connectors from the ESC to the batteries? Just a simple deans in series connector?

Deans are good. High current rating, small size. I use Anderson power poles also known as Sermos. They are larger and are not rated for as much current as the deans. I have had no problems with 50 Amps or so. I like them because they mate and de-mate easily. You can also put them in series (red1 to blk2) with out the need for an intermediate connector. I do this with my packs. All my packs are 3 cell 2100 TP PL's. Please be carefull when connecting batteries. At our field, we have a "no talking" to someone when their connecting batteries rule.

Each pack plugs into it's own plug. You can cut off what you don't need, and even gang them up when making up series/parallel connections.

You use those bullets on the batteries? How do you set up two 5s or 6s in series with that?

Red wire male, black wire female bullet.

I've used a single Dean's bridged on each wire for currents over 75A. Just be aware of what wire you're plugging in (same as the bullets). Dean's used in the regular way will not melt with high currents, but they will get hot and cause power loss
