Does anyone have a used weed eater with complete clutch for sale? Something cheap?

Or does anyone have a 18cc complete clutch?

I have a weed eater that you can have if you want to pick it up. I am in north central Florida. I got two weed eaters for free and got one of them to run. The other is still in my barn and you are welcome to it. Don't know anything about it, but can send some pictures if you are interested.

Nice offer, Ray. Given his screen name, he's maybe in Central Florida himself, maybe Kissimmee..... :p

I really do not know how many CCs it has. I will take a look at it tomorrow and maybe send you a picture of it.

With my experience with shipping to Canada, I think the shipping would be more than the weedeater is worth. It is a whole weedeater and not just the engine. I could cut the head off and make a smaller package, but it would still be heavy. Anyway I will take a look at it and send you more information tomorrow when it is light out.

I really thank you for the help. The probably is there is no way i can it. Besides you shipping it. It should not be that heavy to ship it to whitby, even ground travel would be ok for me. I shipped out my nitro rc car "himoto rapida" with fuel bottle, start kit, remote, screws that weight about 12 pounds. Got it shipped with air to columba. for 10.94 rough.

Would picture help me understand?

What are you going to do with it? Do you use them in RC cars? A couple of years ago I saw a biplane with a weedeater motor in it and it was great! It sounded great and had lots of power. The biplane would go vertical until it was a speck! The guy that had the plane said his father modified weedeater engines for aircraft. His father has a small machine shop and was retired. I guess he would go to yard sales and pick up weedeaters for next to nothing that were in great shape, only the owners did not know how to do small repairs or tune them. The big plus was the cost of fuel. I had thought about looking more into it, but I really like the clean electric power.

I will tell you more tomorrow.

Well, this is the story.

Long time ago, i wanted to make a 1/5 homemade rc car with a weed eater. I got a weed eater off my friends and started the build. I notice that there was no clutch for it. So i tried going on the internet to find a clutch. Any clutch that would work for it would be great because i could custom fit one. I tried for months and did not complete the project.

Now, after a year or so. I have more experience in building this R/C cars. So i tried the flee market at Oshawa, Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire, Garage Sale, and there wasn't any weed eaters for sale that fitted my price. So i go on the internet, tried ebay, tried Kijiji, etc....So i just posted up a thread on R/C groups.com and see if anyone own a weed eater with clutch for my 1/5 scale homemade rc car.
