I want to put just two green LEDs on my dart for flying outside my house at night. It is already well-lit by the streetlights but I'd like a little more. Should I be plugging my LEDs into the AUX port on my AR6000?

I hear about BECs but I don't think that is necesary because I have heard people talking about how they just plug them into their receivers. Of course I will be using resistors to limit the current to the LEDs.

Should I plug my LEDs into the AUX port on my AR6000?

Yep, if you know how to calculate for the proper resistor for the 5v output, it works like a champ! I have like 8 LEDS on the LE of my Slow Stick wing and they are in parallel connected to the aux of a 6100 RX.

You can connect them to any unused port since all you need is positive and negative wires. If you have a dead servo laying around, cut off the connector and solder it to the wires that you're going to solder on your LEDs. Also, here is a link to one of the LED resistor calculators (http://led.linear1.org/led.wiz).

You can put either 2 or 3 in series on any channel. No resistors needed. :D
