I'm looking into RC boats, and was wondering how a typical drivetrain was setup.
I.E. Brushluss Motor -> Gearbox ->xxx? ->xxx? -> propeller

Also, where is a good resource to purchase these individual parts (in the us) online?
I'm familiar with brushless motors for RC planes, are these the same? Can I use plane motors in a boat?

Thanks,
Todd

for the 'go-fast' boats the configuation typically is; bl motor>thrust bearing>drive coupler>driveshaft>prop. usually inrunners are used since they are easier to water cool(rpm range 20-25k), mostly a flex shaft is used(w/ flex coupler). hard to get more specific w/o knowing what size boat you're thinking of. www.offshoreelectrics.com has most everything kneeded to get started :)
