hey
I am waiting for some parts to finish my drive unit. So I started to plan my layout for the deck of dreadnought. This is a scratch build with no scale plans. I took this pic of dreadnought deck from a discussion in steelenavy.com. Then I put it in my cad and laid it on my scale center and mid lines. this let me scale the size and placements of the deck elements. I will lay them out full size and start cutting plywood! Also posted a pic from "the dreadnought project" web site. The cadd work is amazing. Thought you may be interested.

Question...this ship is 1/96. I'm looking forsome fittings. Is anyone familiar with "bluejacket shipcrafters"? I like their online catalog because it has pics and the scale i need.

There are a couple of scratchbuilt Dreadnoughts in the Scratchbuild section of www.modelwarships.com. One is 1/96th scale and the other is 1/72nd scale. Check them out for ideas. Maybe you can get some questions answered by people building the same ship as you.

I have had some dealings with bluejacket and have always found them to a first class organization. They are very helpful and prompt in filling orders and their prices are competitive. I would recommend without hesitation.
