After doing a bit of looking around I think I know what I want in an auto pilot....

1. More than 20 way points (My airplane will stay in the air for over an hour)
2. More than just altitude hold, I want the plane to be able to climb and descend
3. The ability to trigger some action when at a way point
4. I would like to find the most accurate system possible, for a reasonable cost

I'm into the DIY seen if that is my best option, I have been looking around and noticed the "paparazzi" and still am un-clear on what all the system can do. Please point me in the right direction, I'm excited to get my build log online!

Thanks again!

I think Paparazzi will do want you want, for a DIY solution.

Here is a working solution... Check out top of the page here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=734456&page=35#post9230024

It is not for sale quite yet, but soon.

www.paparazzi.enac.fr. Take a look there, the software currently will support everything you just listed off. Im not entirely sure what you mean by accuracy. In my practice it all comes down to how good your gains are :)

Hahahha, I've noticed. He seems to be working towards getting everyone excited about his work! As he should, but I feel that if I'm going to buy anything that I can not make changes to, it better say Microsoft on the box... because Bill funded my charter high school, and even then I'm bitter about it.

That's not the reason we're excited. We're excited by the nature of the product.
