There are people with Spektrum Rx that are having brownouts and power failures. Is there a way to log the voltage of the Rx with the data logger, I am sure that many more would like t be able to log their Rx voltage and not their current.

I do it routinely with my Glide FDR, it's sufficient to power the FDR from the receiver and enable Rx voltage recording.

Hi All,
We will have a sensor soon that does this.

Bill,
I think that alot of the Spektrum users would really like this, I will post this reply to them. Thanks again.

What sample-rate will it use ? Anything less than 500 sample/s is probably not going to be adequate since even short voltage dips in the milliseconds range will cause a problem. 1000 sample/s would be a better plan.
This page shows a CRO trace illustrating the very short (approx 2ms) voltage dips that can occur when using digital servos: http://www.voltmagic.com/faqs.htm#PLV

And what will it run on during the "brown out"?

The Brown out issue with 2.4Ghz is not realy the source of this. I have made some shamesless copys in my A123 building thread regarding BEC issues:
start from post 152:

In Short: The BEC needs to be cool and capeable to handle the Amp draw. I think a temp sensor mounted on the BEC would be of more value as using a volt meter.

I would imagine the flight battery...

So if you think that the BEC needs to be cool ;what about this?http://www.castlecreations.com/products/cc_bec.html
Click on the tough enough vid.
I was running this BEC and the RX had no connection. I really don't think that in 3 min I could cause a BEC to shutdown due to temp. BAT= 3s 4000mAh ESC 55amp, 4-HS-56 and testing a props? I am wating on an eagletree temp- micro to let you know about the temp of the BEC. I also have other post of what has happened. Thanks for the ideas.

Sorry to bump such an old thread, but has a Rx-pack voltage sensor been released? If it has, the UK dealer of the eLogger don't stock it :( Would really be useful on my new Logo600 helicopter ....
