View Full Version : Discussion Excellent 50cc Conversion for IMAC competitions

Congratulations To Jeff Szueber who WON the recent EMAC competiton at Silent Electric Flyers of San Diego. This is an Electric Scale Aerobatic contest that is put on monthly at the SEFSD field.

As an additional note, each aircraft must fly the pattern sequence twice before landing, About 8-9 minutes. Therefore it is important that the electric system is both Powerful and Efficient.

12S-5000mAh TP Extreme V2 Lipoly packs
24x12 APC-E prop
JR/Spectrum 2.4gHz + All JR servos

AUW ready to Fly - 16lbs 15oz.
Full throttle Current - 87Amps@43.2 volts
Full throttle Watts - 3,750 watts input
Full throttle Prop RPM - 6100 Rpm
Full throttle Thrust - 34lbs static
Full Throttle Pitch speed - 68mph

I'd like to do some bigger conversions, but don't have the $$$ right now unfortunately. I just got one of the EF Extra 300's (50cc), but I'm going to have to stick with old technology in it for now.
