I am looking for an ESC for my boat and i found this Waterproof ESC w/Reverse: 4.8-12V by Pro Boat(Link of it is below), i was wondering if this is a good ESC to use or are there other good ESC's that are better for under 50 bucks? This one seems to be in the range of my volts and amps ratings that i am looking for.

I have 4 of them 3 in boats & 1 in a truck and haven't had any problems
The switching is low and its only 20 amps reverse but they work good for me

I have several of them and I'll say this, they are ok for an inexpensive ESC. Also have a look at these http://www.modelcontrol.com/products.htm

proboat tornado 50, they are EXCELLENT speed controllers, though they dont have any cooling, so epoxying a pipe to it and using the cooling water will help

I found the Proboat did not give me the low end control that I wanted.
I switched mine out for a pair of Mtroniks.

I agree Umi, low speed control is poor. If that doesnt bother you and your running a single motor setup,I'd recommend it. I've had considerable trouble with running more than one motor with one.
