I was flying my SSX yesterday at the park in the town I was working in. the park has about a 2 acre pond in it. I was flying low to the ground and following the contours down to the pond then skimming the water before flying out over the pond and turning around. That got me thinking. Would it be possible to put floats on the SSX, and have you considered maybe kitting some specifically for it?

Here is a thread a friend of mine did. He used 2 X-Gears to support the floats.

Now That's COOL! I need another set of x gear now. Gonna try to make some for whenever Lake Hodges appears!

Have y'all given the Slow Stick Flying Boat mod a try? Really stable on the water and in the air. Check the Float plane section for the build thread. You can purchase the foam kit with all the hardware for $35.00. I had a ball with my Slow Stick and mod.

Well here's hoping James does make a kit.
An SSX on floats is a blast.
Only way to make it any better is to install a float kit on a night flying SSX.
Night time take offs and landings are just wild.
