this is an old dusty kid my step dad pulled out of the closet, and was curious what it might take to turn it into an electric flier, and what kind of power system would work with this plane
it has 400sq inches of wing area the plane has a max weight of 26 ounces
they recommend that the plane be powered with a .10-.15 gas engine it has fully symmetrical wings and the box has it labeled as a 'sport aerobatic' plane
any information would be great, thanks guys

Not sure what to recommend for power, but do not overload it. This is a great little flyer. I have an old OS 15 in mine, and it is really more than it needs. Sorry I can't weigh it for you as it is a few hundred miles from me right now. How much power all depends on your flying style, but if I were to convert mine, I would look for a power system with about 150-175 watts or so.

you might try this motor. I have this on a .20 size plane and it has lots of power .
himax motors work well and they stand by there products. all though this may be a little much if so the a himax 2812 or 2816.

Good flyer - by yesterdays standards. This airplane is heavy - and will require a bit more speed than the super light laser cut models of today.....
